Please join the City of Slidell for "Centennial Celebration: 100 Covers of Slidell Magazine" on display in the Slidell Cultural Center during Shop Local Artists Week. The Slidell Cultural Center is located at 2055 Second Street, on the first floor of City Hall in Olde Towne Slidell. Gallery hours are Wednesday and Friday from 12-4 p.m and Thursday 12-6 p.m. Admission is free.

The first annual Louisiana Tiny House Festival will bring tiny houses from all over the US for touring at Slidell's Heritage Park.  A benefit for the Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation, the event will showcase a  Holiday Art Market, a Children's Village sponsored by Slidell Memorial Hospital and Ochsner Health Systems, food trucks, speakers and demonstrations,  live music from the Bucktown All-Stars and more.

The City of Slidell celebrates the holiday season with Christmas Under the Stars, an annual celebration of twinkling lights, festive decorations, visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, the Parade of Trees, the life-size Christmas Cottages, Slidell’s Nativity, Christmas songs, and much more. Join us during Shop Local Artists Week on Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8, at Griffith Park in Olde Towne Slidell. Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free.

Dustan Louque at Marigny Opera House

This will be a holiday/winter solstice show in New Orleans by Louisiana songwriter Dustan Louque.  He was once signed by Atlantic records and has had many songs in film/tv.  On this night, he will be joined by Margaret Hebert on grand piano and other instruments.  They will play the St. James Parish Christmas songs they have written for the Bonfire tradition.  They will be joined by Andrea Villien of Lafayette on violin and mandolin.  Don't miss this night.

Winter on the Water Santa Parade

The Annual Winter on the Water (WOW) Santa Parade will be held at the Mandeville Lakefront. Santa's parade will begin at 4:00 on Lakeshore drive at the harbor and ends at the Gazebo.
